Final Evaluation of package

We has a group used a questionnaire which helped us get idea's from our intended audience of young females to impact our decisions in order to create the best product, this involved keeping the expectations of the audience in mind through all the planning and construction, from this we were able to create graphs to organise our answers from the questionnaire.

A helpful graph used in planning our narrative structure of the music video asked the question  'what do you prefer in the music video of soul pop... the singer in the story? or different characters playing the story out? looking at the graph it was obvious to us that the singer must be a main involvement within our narrative, also developing the narrative within the song is a popular convention used in the 'Soul Pop' genre.

We noticed this in alot of Taylor Swifts music video especially the one that is called 'Love Story' which has the singer as the main character who is in love with a male and it becomes into a structured love story matching the lyrics of the song which we used this type of convention within our product. Such as the singer the main focus who is in a love story however our conventions were more complicated and challenging by the way the male is violent and most of the corruption is because of the male character. We decided in constructing the product to stick to Propps theory of the five stages to a narrative for insistence beginning with a calm equilibrium, with disruption, then recognition of disruption which is where our singer is shown in a long shot of her running from the male and ending with a new equilibrium. Most of the artists we looked at who created a narrative within there song were mainly 'Adele', 'Taylor Swift' and 'Duffy' these were mainly researched by us for giving us idea's on how to create a successful product.

Our music video product challenges the typical ending of our chosen genre, for insistence the female at the end is empowered not a weak victim even though she experiences violence from the male involved, she is free to be herself as she runs away and does not give in, the male is no longer dominant over her as he is out of the picture.

when researching music videos, a few showed there codes and conventions to lead the narrative ending within the song, to reveal the female as weak and not free. An example of this would be Adele's video 'Someone like you' which shows only the male mostly towards the ending standing in a dominant pose.

Looking at how to keep to the codes and conventions of our genres advertisement and album design, we used www.google.com /images and researched artists who our within our genre and what they used to promote there album or the design of the album.
We found that the artist was the main focuss of the album and poster advertisement, also the name of the artist and the name of album was clear and had a lot of feminity codes which emphasised the genre of the music. Also the colours were kept mostly the same in the album and poster advertisement this kept continuity.
